“Volo” is a modular unit to allow semi-rotary or full rotary die-cutting.
This innovative device covers a range of repeats up to 25”, with a maximum mechanical speed of 200 m/min in full rotary mode, and 100 m/min in semi-rotary mode depending on die-repeat, substrate and die-cutting shape. The unit is controlled by a dedicated servo motor, while an additional linear motor provides electronic recovery of the print gap, thanks to the DUAL LOOP mode.
The web path uses special carbon fiber rollers to ensure low friction and low inertia. When used in full rotary mode, the machine accepts a range of die-cutting cylinders from 8” to 24”. Registration with printing is ensured by the integrated Automatic Register control system, with a stepless 360° registration and +/ -10mm cross registration, both possible while machine is running.
